Stasney's Cook Ranch is proud to be a part of Texas Parks and Wildlife's Panhandle Plains Wildlife Viewing Trail.  Hundreds of locations were visited and analyzed for participation in this program and trail map.  Here is their review of Stasney's Cook Ranch:  "This is the anchor site on the Big Country Loop, with 25,000 acres of spectacular habitat that includes canyons, rock cliffs, valleys, creeks, limestone deposits chock full of fossils. Significant Native American populations once lived here, attested to by the artifacts that continually turn up here. This ranch should not be missed."
