The Taylor County History Center tells the story of the last 50 years of the West Texas fontier. Through interactive exhibits, educational programming, and historic interpretation, guests experience the formative years when the region changed from the Wild West to civilized settlements. Explore the West Texas frontier from 1875 to 1925:
- A rich collection of Indian artifacts and frontier firearms
- Over 20 historic frontier buildings
- Gallery with historic maps and art by area artists
- Interactive audio tour
- Rental Facilities: historic chapel, meeting rooms, reception space and two historically restored guest houses
To reach the Center take FM 89 (Buffalo Gap Rd.) to Buffalo Gap, turn right on Elm and go two blocks.
