‘Wheels: An Original Musical’ centers around the lives of Nancy and Elijah, siblings who struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and tells a story about faith, betrayal, and forgiveness. The story itself focuses on every characters’ innate humanity and doesn’t ever ask for the audience’s sympathies. The cyclical aspect of the title isn’t to indicate how incapable many disabled are of leading normal lives, but instead, how capable they are of leading incredible ones. Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jess Westman.
