The Grace Museum Exhibition - Creating a Community: The State Epileptic Colony in Abilene

This exhibition will highlight the early history of the State Epileptic Colony in Abilene through over 50 photographs from The Grace’s permanent history collection.

This exhibition highlights what we now call “traditional” wedding dresses belonging to various individuals in Abilene and the surrounding areas from the late 1890s to the 1930s, most of which are in the permanent collection at The Grace Museum.

A Larger View: Historic Panoramic Photographs

Large panoramic photographs of landscapes or groups have been around since the invention of photography. This exhibition will discuss the history of the early photographic processes of taking and creating panoramic photographs through cameras and photographs from The Grace’s permanent collection.
