Please join us for a weekend celebrating contemporary sculpture! Four free art exhibition receptions, indoor and outdoor sculpture and 10 artists are featured this year. The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council's Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is presented in collaboration with local art partners. Featured outdoor sculptors are Jeffie Brewer, Jack A. Massing, Michael Christopher Matson and James Surls. Their art will be on display for two years on North 1st Street. Receptions on Friday, Sept. 20 are Deborah Ballard's "Listen" from 5-6 pm at McMurry University's Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Center, and Allison Streett's "Wilderness" from 6-7 pm at the Ira M. Taylor Memorial Gallery in the Frost Center for Visual Arts at Hardin-Simmons University. Receptions on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Bonny Leibowitz, Deborah Kapoor and Pilar Uribe's "Into the Wilderness" from 3:30-4:30 pm at Shore Art Gallery at Abilene Christian University followed by an artist talk, reception for Adela Andea and the featured outdoor artists at 6:15 pm at the Center for Contemporary Arts.
