Overview
Mr. Hooker Nichols will present "Growing Louisiana Irises in Texas." These iris blooms are usually very wide petaled and open, showing brightly colored style-arms and sharp signal-crests. Some of the most spectacular iris flowers are in plants of this group. Mr. Nichols has hybridized 58 Louisiana irises at his Hillcrest Iris Nursery in Dallas. He has hybridized over 300 irises in seven different varieties. He has served in numerous leadership positions in American Iris Society and is an Emeritus Judge. He has won many awards in five different categories in national competition.
