Overview
The Texas Cowboys' Christmas Ball is the annual historical re-enactment of the 1885 Christmas Ball in Anson that honored cowboys and their ladies. This old-time frontier gala is a historic western heritage celebration continuing today and an official state historical event designated by the Texas Historical Commission. The Ball is a festive family holiday event that features dancing, listening, fellowship and refreshments from 8pm until midnight. Michael Martin Murphey and Rio Grande play Thursday night. Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys play Friday and Saturday nights.
