Built in 1919, we brought life back to the old Nichols Battery Company building where you can now find two unique post-prohibition rooms and a large patio with a view of the Taylor County Courthouse and the Enterprise Tower next door.

D-BAT Abilene is the Premier Baseball and Softball training facility in the country. In addition to private baseball and softball lessons, we offer pitching machines with real baseballs and softballs, a fully-stocked Pro shop, over 50 camps and clinics and more.

This fully restored 1930s theatre features • Concerts and live theatre • Touring shows • Classic, art house and special event films • Outstanding architecture: Arched columns, two grand staircases, hand-blown glass chandeliers, Pueblo-Deco artwork ceilings and a 1,200 seat auditorium with twin-domed turrets, a velvet blue ceiling, drifting clouds and twinkling stars.

Another David S. Castle landmark, the Paramount Theatre opened May 19, 1930, as part of the Wooten Hotel development. The 3-story theatre features Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, Art Deco light fixtures and is best known for the stars and clouds that move across its ceiling. The theatre closed in 1979 and was saved from demolition by local preservation efforts. A complete restoration of the theatre was completed in 1987. The theatre is now operated by a non-profit organization and is a center for classic and art films and the performing arts.
