Photographers Marion Post Wolcott, Mary Ellen Mark, Anne Noggle, Marilyn Bridges, Laura Gilpin, Ruth Bernard, Linda Conner, Fran Forman, Kathy Millan, Garciela Iturbide are but a few outstanding examples of women working as photographic documentarians and artists who are an important part of photographic history. This exhibition of women photographers in the Grace Museum permanent collection documents the role of women as creative forces in our contemporary culture as well as The Grace Museum’s long-standing commitment to presenting and collecting exemplary artwork by women artists.
