Downtown Oktoberfest

Grab your friends and head downtown for the Grain Theory 5th Annual Downtown Oktoberfest! This free, family-friendly celebration brings an afternoon and evening of live music, food, vendors, games and plenty of festive fun to Pine Street. Enjoy performances from the Red Liners Band and Freeride Band, compete in the best dressed, best beard or stein holding contests, and take part in activities for all ages. With a giant dance floor in the street and downtown after parties to keep the evening going, Oktoberfest is a fun way to kick off the fall season in Abilene.

The Abilene Zoo transforms into a festive fall celebration where families can dress up, trick-or-treat throughout the zoo and enjoy seasonal activities, live shows, animal encounters and plenty of Halloween fun. Totally Rad 80s Prom Gone Bad - Murder Mystery

Put on your best ’80s prom attire and get ready to solve a crime at the Totally Rad ’80s Prom Gone Bad Murder Mystery! Hosted by the Abilene Preservation League, this interactive evening invites guests to step into character or simply put their detective skills to the test as they uncover clues, mingle with fellow prom-goers and try to crack the case. With music, laughs, charcuterie and a drink ticket included, it’s a fun and unique way to spend an evening in Abilene while supporting historic preservation.
