Downtown Abilene’s biggest summer party is back.
🏖️Join Grain Theory and wear your best beach gear for the 5th Annual Downtown Block Party Beach Bash happening Saturday, June 6th from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM in the street in front of Grain Theory Brewery at 202 Pine Street in downtown Abilene.
☀️We’re bringing beach vibes to downtown with DJs, food trucks, local vendors, activities, street beer specials, photo ops, and for the first time ever… a real life mermaid joining the party.
This year’s Downtown Block Party Beach Bash is brought to you in part by Presenting Sponsor Abilene Environmental Landfill.
NEW FOR 2026:
🧜♀️From 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, guests will have the chance to meet a real life mermaid and take photos during the event. We’re excited to bring a unique interactive experience to this year’s Block Party and create something fun for both kids and adults throughout the evening.
GOOD BEER DOING GOOD THINGS:
🍽️Every Grain Theory street party partners with the Food Bank of West Central Texas for a community food drive. Guests who bring a full bag of non-perishable food items to the Food Bank booth located at the intersection of Pine Street & North 2nd will receive a coupon for one FREE street beer.
(Coupon valid only at the street beer tent during the event.)

🍻 Make sure to get in line for a 21+ handstamp and purchase your beer tickets at the Ticket Tent BEFORE getting in the beer tent line.
🥤You can also purchase a special 22ounce Block Party reusable cup at the ticket tent that gets you an extra 6 ounces of beer every pour at the beer tent vs the standard 16 ounce plastic cup

🎉For the first time ever, we’re partnering with official downtown after party locations so guests can keep the night going after the street party ends at 10:00 PM. Each location will feature Grain Theory draft beer specials throughout the evening.

FLASH TATTOO EVENT:
Start your day early with themed flash tattoos from Ink Therapy happening from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on the 4th floor above Grain Theory before the street party begins
-All tattoos are first come first serve waitlist

🍔The Grain Theory second story taproom will be open throughout the event. While all ages are welcome inside the taproom, guests 21+ who plan to drink alcohol must receive a handstamp from a volunteer upon entering the taproom.
