You’re invited to a funeral. Please come dressed in all black for mourning.
Join us inside the brewery all day long on Saturday August 29th as we say goodbye to some very important things and wish them the best in the afterlife.
First, the iconic Grain Theory 16oz tulip glass. A staple of the brewery’s history since day one. Many a beer has been held in this glass, and now we hold it close to our hearts as we mourn it being laid to rest to make way for brand new signature beer glasses.
We thought about just getting rid of them, but that’s not a proper send off for someone that has been with us since day 1 over the last six years. So here’s your chance, YOU can buy a piece of Grain Theory history and purchase a glass for only $5 until sellout. We only have 138… so get here early if you want to say your final words.
2) A good man that has been with us since the beginning is also departing into the afterlife. Chef Rob, in all of his bald headed glory, will be having his last day of service with us. In leu of flowers, we ask that you order food from our kitchen to experience his guided hand crafting your dining experience for the final time.
Write a card, shake his hand, and give him your best Thoughts & Prayers as he transitions into the next part of his career, aka moving to Colorado to pursue his Chef dreams and be amongst the spirits in the mountains.
3) Last but not least, of course, Summer is coming to a close. The kids are back in school, the early morning routines are back in full effect, and the blistering heat will be something you might miss in the coming fall months. Come enjoy one last beer on our patio to say your final goodbyes to the season

The sounds of the dynamic DJ duo Oscar B & Maxximo take over the taproom! Come hangout for the afternoon inside and cool down with an iced coffee from our European Style Espresso coffee bar or beat the last of the summer heat on our second story balcony patio with the perfect ice cold beer.
7:00pm Trivia On Tap: Funeral Edition (AGES 12+)
Most of you (hopefully) know we offer trivia every Tuesday at 6:30pm. If you’ve never been able to make it because hey, who really goes out on a Tuesday, now is your chance!
We’ll be doing a one-off of our Abilene famous trivia sessions that’s all about the afterlife. Enjoy questions like “How many caskets does the US produce each year?” And “What religion believes in re-incarnation after death?”.
